(Cornwall welcomes you!)* We are Open all Year (except Christmas and January), and SE Cornwall is very accessible... it is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, whether in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. We have a milder climate in Cornwall, and this means that the seasons are less harsh here than the rest of the country. We have a lovely woodland garden that has two patios and other seating areas, and a large conservatory for guests to use at any time, plus comfortable beamed, and well equipped cottage style bedrooms. Here at Redgate Smithy, we aim to provide you with a relaxing atmosphere, with all our guest rooms upstairs and separated away from our own, each with Digital TV (Freeview), and tea & coffee making facilities. We have WiFi available in all rooms if you bring your own laptop with you, and we have a laptop PC set up downstairs for our Guests' own use... use it to search the Internet, check What's On locally, or to check your own Webmail and E-mail. We also provide folders in your room about the local area, to help make your stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast We offer a relaxing home-cooked breakfast from our Breakfast Menu, cooked on the range, and using local produce wherever possible. Your breakfast is prepared and cooked as you order on the morning, and is served from 8.00am until (last orders!) around 9.15am, but please ask if you need it any earlier! If you are booking in advance, please do let us know if you have any special dietary needs. Evening Meals There are many excellent places to eat locally, for quality home-cooked evening meals, and there are lots of recommendations that we provide in our Food Guide in your room. General Information For European language speakers, see our French, Italian, German and Dutch pages. Julie speaks fluent French, and also Italian to a very good conversational standard. We have guests stay with us from many different countries, and visitors from Europe, and internationally across the world, are most welcome! Your rooms will be available anytime from 4.00pm onwards on your day of arrival. Thereafter, you are of course free to come and go as you please! We have ample and easy-access off-road parking, and a turning area for guests’ cars. All our beds (mattresses, duvets, pillows) are hygienically cleaned annually by Mattress Medics, who certify them as sterilized, and dust mite and allergen free. We do not use feather pillows or duvets. Children over the age of 12 are welcome. Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10.30am for cleaning and changing, on day of departure. ~ Please note that Redgate Smithy is a non-smoking B&B ~

Dog Friendly / Pet Friendly Redgate Smithy is a Pet Friendly Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall. If you wish to bring your own dog with you, one small and friendly dog is most welcome, and beds and bowls can be provided for our Special Guests if you need them. There is a lovely walk down our lane for those little walks out, and of course please do “pick-up” as necessary. Doggie Bags are available in the porch, and there is a special bin in the car park. We keep some old towels for dog drying in the porch. Our own cocker spaniel, Sinbad, is also very dog friendly, and some guests don't even realise he is here!
