How to Find Redgate Smithy

We are situated in the small hamlet of Redgate, near St.Cleer just to the north-west of Liskeard, and on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. We are easily accessible from the A30 or A38, and the drive to Redgate Smithy is pretty, whichever direction you come from... either down from the A30 from Jamaica Inn; down the B3254 from Launceston; or up from the A38 at Doublebois, or up through St.Cleer from Liskeard.

The best way we recommend guests to come to us, from the Devon direction, is to come over the dual A30 from Exeter, around the top of Dartmoor and across the Tamar at Launceston, then over Bodmin Moor to Bolventor and Jamaica Inn. Leave the A30 here (you will see Jamaica Inn as you drive over the brow of a hill), and take the St.Cleer and Golitha Falls (brown sign) turning just before the Inn. Redgate Smithy is 7 miles down the lane, following the lovely Fowey valley, and just past Golitha Falls.
